The Doubling Mill

The plying machine is used to prepare the threads for doubling. Two or three threads are simultaneously wound round a cylindrical bobbin and processed further in the doubling mill.

In the doubling mill these threads are twisted (twined). This produces a sturdy doubled yarn made up of several identical or different threads.
