Production Process
The Dyehouse
Since 1996 Zwickauer Kammgarn owns one of the most modern dyehouses in
the world, in which tops and feeder yarns are electronically dyed.
Two processes are used in the dyehouse: Cross winding and top dyeing.
Our entire range of products is dyed.
In spite of all the automation: The experience of our dyers is essential.
In the dye laboratory they measure the color swatch
(a sample from the customer) and compile the dye recipe.
Not until the customer has approved the color recipe using a sample of
the yarn is the yarn sent to the dye kitchen and later to the dyehouse.
