A range of knitting and industrial yarn that is exclusively produced in Germany is planned. The wool is obtained from the sheep of the nature reserve area BiosphäreAlb in Southern Germany. At Zwickauer Kammgarn, the wool is processed into yarn, and in the knitting city of Hechingen the yarn is used to produce printed jumper and sock wool. Separate identification allows complete traceability of the wool at all the participating companies. Furthermore, consumers even have the possibility to sponsor sheep. During three days, 90 exhibitors from ten countries presented themselves to interested trade visitors. The symposium that accompanied the trade fair was very well-received and contributed largely to the big success of the MTEX. Experts presented their new ideas and the challenges for textiles in vehicle production in their lectures. A total of 1800 visitors from 15 countries visited the new trade fair in the "German capital of textile" (quote from the Neue Zürcher Zeitung). At the MTEX, Zwickauer Kammgarn presented itself as a Saxony-based company with a long tradition and an innovative future. Our products for vehicles attracted great interest among the trade visitors. Our yarns are used in almost all means of transportation. They can be found everywhere: in car seats, bus or train seats and especially in the upholstering of aeroplane seats. Further information on our product range can be found here, or you can contact us directly. The next MTEX will take place in June 2008. We are looking forward to meeting you! Our summary is very positive. We had numerous talks with prospective business partners. More information: FILO, 5-6 November 2003, MilanoThe summer 2005 weaving yarn collection was presented. For the first time the fair was held in Milan again. There was a further decline in the number of exhibitors and visitors compared to the last fair of spring 2003. The fashion trend towards classics continues. Wool and blends of natural fibres are playing a more important role among high-grade yarns again. There was a higher demand for finely extruded 100 WV compact yarns as well as WV/PA and CV/WV blends in fine crepe quality. The market is still under immense pricing pressure.
